The is excellent at a braai.
• 500g self-raising flour
• 10ml salt
• 40g (50ml) butter
• 3 stalks celery with leaves
• 1 clove garlic crushed
• 150g (375ml) grated cheddar cheese
• 275ml milk
• 1 egg
Sift the self-raising flour and salt twice. Rub in the butter. Wash and chop the celery finely. Mix celery, garlic and cheese with the flour mixture. Beat the milk and egg together and mix with the flour mixture. Press into a greased loaf tin and bake for 55 minutes in a preheated over at 190oC. Turn out and allow to cool.
