I am always looking for a good bread to make as I can’t stand shop bought sliced bread. It’s full of air and chemicals. I only buy it out of necessity. Matt Preston’s no knead bread is another favoured of mine - recipe on this page. It’s called braai bread but I have totally ignored that. I have just had egg on toast, a winner! The possibilities are endless. This bread is absolutely delicious and so easy to make. It is toasts BEST in the air fryer, but I am such an air fryer fan. You decide. I sliced the loaves and placed in the freezer and take out as I need it. Thank you Louise Gibbon for sharing this.
• 500g self-raising flour
• 500ml buttermilk
• 1 packet white onion soup
• 1 egg
• 1-2 cups grated cheese
Mix all together well. Bake at 160 for approximately 45-60 minutes depending on size of pan.
