This is truly a dependable recipe - it isn't called quick and easy for nothing and even more appealing, it costs less than bought fizzy drinks!!
• 4.5 litres of water
• 750ml white sugar
• 12.5ml cream of tartar
• 10ml ground ginger
• 7ml yeast granules
• Handful of raisins with seeds
Mix all the ingredients together. Allow to draw to 12 hours. Strain and pour into bottles. Keep the sediment and add to the next batch of ginger beer. Place a few of the fermented raisins in each bottle. Screw the caps on tightly. Keep chilled in the fridge.
Makes 5 litres.
