A very dear, sweet school friend sent me this recipe. Beth says that it is very popular with her guests. I will be trying it soon and will report back.
No quantities were given, just use your imagination.
Piece of steak of your choice, but using a cheaper piece and cooking it this way keeps the meat tender.
Use a big piece of foil and double it. Add butter on the bottom of the foil under the steak. Add more butter on the steak. Cover the steak with slicked onions. Then cover the onions with sliced potatoes. Add sliced apple on top of the potatoes. Add more butter. Season to taste.
Tightly wrap the steak and veg with the foil. Place in a suitable dish to catch any juices that may leak. Bake at 325F or 160C for about an hour.
NOTE: I would add some chilli and garlic to this but that is optional.
If you do try this, please drop us a line below and let us know what you think.
Thanks Beth. xx
