1 tablesoon sunflower oil
2 large onions, finelay chopped
4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 tablespoon mild to strong curry powder
8 pieces of chicken

Salt to taste
4 potatoes, peeled and cut into pieces
1 cup rice
1 cup brown lentils, soaked (optional)
1 cup water
1 can tinned tomatoes
1 can coconut milk
Heat the oil and fry the onions and garlic until soft. Add the curry powder and fry for 1 minute. Fry the chicken pieces in onion mixture until brown. Add the rest of ingredients, close with lid tighltly secure. Over medium coals let your potjie simmer for an hour to hour and 30 minutes.
Serve with chutney and tomato/onion/cumcumber salsa
