Whether you love kale or not, these chips are so delicious and so good for you. Most men will turn their noses up at these, but give them a try, you may be pleasantly surprised! Personally I love kale in any way presented to me.
This recipe uses natural, vegan-friendly ingredients to give you a zesty, “cheesy” flavour to your kale chips.
* ½ to 1 bunch kale leaves
* ½Tbsp extra virgin olive oil (or melted coconut oil)
* 1½Tbsp
nutritional yeast* 1tsp garlic powder
* ½tsp onion powder
* ½tsp smoked paprika
* Pinch of pink Himalayan salt
* Pinch of chili powder
* Pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)
Preheat oven to 300°F (148°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper (baking paper) set aside. Remove the kale stems. Rinse and spin dry, then tear the kale into bite-size pieces. Leave the pieces to air out. Combine the kale and oil in a large bowl. Massage the oil well into the leaves until they’re completely coated. Mix the dry ingredients together in a smaller bowl. Add the dry mix to the coated kale; toss to combine. Spread the kale over your prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes, rotate the pan, then bake for another 12-15 minutes until the leaves start to shrink & look crispy. Allow the kale to cool for a few minutes.
Serve, munch & enjoy!
