My Gran who was Italian used to cook this for us as children, it remains one of my favourite pasta dishes and is so easy to make!!
• 250g Bacon
• 1 Tin Butter Beans – drained
• 1 Tin Whole Tomatoes - chopped
• 1 Onion – chopped
• Garlic
• Herbs and spices of your choice
• 1t sugar
• A good splash of white wine
• Cooked spaghetti
Fry onion and bacon until brown, add tomatoes, garlic herbs/spices and wine and cook 10-15 minutes. Add butter beans and heat through, season to taste and serve over cooked spaghetti.
DO NOT ADD SALT, AS THE BACON IS RATHER SALTY.
