Make this lasagne in a cast-iron pot. The secret is to start off with a red wine and the heat must be very low.
Fry together:
2 chopped onions
1 punnet of fresh mushrooms
1 packet chopped bacon
Add 1 kg mince and fry until cooked.
Top with lasagne sheets (it can be done in two layers if you wish)
Add 2 tins of chopped Tomatoes
Sprinkle with 1 cup of cheddar cheese
Add 750 ml white sauce
Sprinkle another cup of cheddar cheese over.
Place lid on and let it cook slowly for approx 45 minutes......check that it doesn't burn. Cook a further 30 minutes.
When the bottle of red wine is finish....the lasagne should be cooked.
