Posted by: Guy Halls on 3 MaHere is a recipe for a quick pastry that might be used in a number of dishes, ideal for a pizza base, or a crusty pie topping.



1 and a half cups of self-raising flour.

Pinch of salt.

Half cup milk.

Half cup cooking oil.



Method:

Sift flour and salt into a bowl.

Half fill a cup with oil, and then fill to the top with milk.

Pour the oil/milk into the flour and mix in using a wooden spoon, until dry contents are

moistened, then knead into a dough.



Roll out or flatten by hand to desired shape.



Cooking time depending on purpose of use. approx 45 minutes.
